This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a busy machine shop while completing a Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship. Training is delivered via day release at Farnborough College of Technology.What You’ll Learn:
  • How to programme, set and operate a range of CNC lathes and milling machines (2, 3 & 4 axis)
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and route cards
  • Working with various materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, brass and plastics
  • Inspecting machined components using manual gauges and CMM equipment
What We’re Looking For:
  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • A strong interest in engineering and CNC machining
  • A hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
  • Teamworking skills and good communication
  • Ability to commit to both practical and classroom-based learning
Additional Requirements:
  • Ideally 18+ by September 2025
  • Able to travel to both the client’s site near Woking and Farnborough College
  • Proactive and enthusiastic about long-term development
