The successful Estimator / Quotation Engineer will be responsible for estimating, quoting and closing sub-contract machining and any metal finishing as required.
This role would suit someone from a CNC Machining background wanting to make the move towards sales. It would also suit a current Sales Engineer from a Mechanical background with quoting experience. This is an onsite role, working in the machine shop the successful candidate will need to live within a commutable distance to Woking.
Estimator / Quotation Engineer Package:
- 40,000-45,000 Base Salary

- Interpret customer requirements from CAD drawings, technical specifications, or computer models.
- Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and bids for sub-contract machining and metal finishing, with support from Purchasing and Machine Shop personnel
- Review costs and acceptable margins
- Support Production Control and Sales Order Processing by inputting new orders into the ERP system
- Assisting Business Development Managers with customer updates regarding work in progress and delivery dates
- Familiarity with CNC machining and manufacturing processes
- Proven experience either with CNC Machining or Quotation experience within a Mechanical industry
- Ability to read and interpret CAD/ Engineering drawings
- Commutable to Woking
- Customer-focus approach capable of managing both internal and external relationships
