We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a media business in Woking, recruiting for an experienced and driven Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-performing team of 8 (3 direct reports, 5 indirect). This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a business-critical role where you’ll have the autonomy to shape processes, drive improvements across systems and controls, and play a key part in team development and performance. You’ll be responsible for a broad range of tasks including team resource planning, reviewing aged creditors and reconciliation reports, managing SOX controls, and supporting wider finance initiatives like AP automation and P2P process enhancements. Alongside technical know-how, we’re looking for a people-first leader who’s confident with data, proactive in identifying issues, and motivated to inspire positive change across the function

THE ROLE

  • Team management: support & development & resource planning
  • Weekly AP ticket reviews: help investigate & resolve delays in ticket resolution times
  • Month end AP reconciliation reviews and Aged Creditor reviews
  • Monthly KPI reporting and commentary
  • Monthly PO exception reporting
  • Monthly cashflow submission and commentary
  • Quarterly review of key supplier statement reconciliations
  • Bi-annual payment stats reporting
  • SOX Control Ownership
  • CIS return review and approval
  • Support year end and interim audits
  • Review insurance claims
  • Provide back up for team leaders when they are not available - payment run approvals and PO price mismatch approvals
  • Process improvement projects (AP Automation & P2P improvements)
  • Business partnering
