Head of Operations and Fundraising (Full or Part time)Woking£35K - £45K pro rata
My client is seeking an Operations and Fundraising professional to join their charity organisation. You will be responsible for the operational and governance framework as well as the fundraising strategies. You will oversee all operational aspects while leading efforts to secure funding and support from donors, sponsors, and partners. You will:
- Collaborate with the stakeholders to develop comprehensive operational strategies, systems and infrastructure in support and aligned with the organisation's vison, mission and long-term goals
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other potential donors
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to generate revenue and increase donor engagement
- Explore and secure appropriate Grants available
- Work closely with the stakeholders to develop and manage the organisation's budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and fundraising goals
- Monitor financial performance and fundraising metrics, providing regular reports
- Manage day-to-day operational functions, including administration, human resources, programme management, and compliance
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimise organisational efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure the organisation is working to compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Devise and implement internal safeguarding and other policies and best practices as the organisation grows
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and other stakeholders
- Represent the organisation at meetings, events, and conferences to promote awareness and support for its mission and programmes
- Recruit, lead and mentor a team of staff and volunteers
- Provide guidance and support to staff in achieving their goals and professional development objectives
The ideal candidate will:
- Have solid experience of working within an established charity
- Have proven experience in meeting deadlines
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be versatile and flexible within the workplace
- Have strong knowledge within charity compliance
- Have strong attention to detail
- Work well independently
Full time or part time. Full time hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
