Electronic Assembly Technician

Salary: Circa 32,000

Electronic Assembly Technician required urgently for one of our leading manufacturing companies based in Woking. This is a key role to the business where you will be working to production targets to manufacture a range of specialist equipment utilised across a wide range of industries.

On offer is the opportunity to work for a specialist manufacturing company and take responsibility for repairing and diagnostics on a wide variety of portal mobile devices. With a massive influx in orders for the next couple of years we are looking to increase headcount across a number of production, assembly and warehouse departments.

We are looking for a skilled Electronics Assembly technician to join our team in Woking. If you enjoy problem solving, hands -on work, and want to grow your career in electronics, this role is for you!

What you'll do:

  • Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic products
  • Soldering to IPC standard
  • Box Builds
  • Use diagnostics tools (multi-meter, oscilloscope, soldering tools).
  • Carry out functional, operational and environmental testing.
  • Analysing and interpreting test data to support repairs
  • Reading and working from schematic drawings
  • Preparing accurate written reports on test results and repair activities.

What we're looking for:

  • HNC/HND in electronic engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of electronics principles and repair techniques.
  • Hands on experience with soldering to PCB's
  • knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling, such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, etc.
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools and equipment such as soldering iron, hand drill etc.
  • Basic MS Office skills including ability to open and create files in Word, create and manipulate data in Excel and use E-mail and calendars in Outlook.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; follow written and verbal procedures, instructions, read schematics.
