Production Manager / Supervisor required to work for a specialist Electronics business based near Woking. You will be an experienced and hands on Manager/ supervisor who is used to managing a small team of production and assembly operatives specialising in Electronics, Soldering, inspection, wiring, crimping etc. Working predominantly within the electronics industry you will ideally have a knowledge of electro mechanical assembly environments and products. The reason for this role is due to progression, the current manager is stepping up within the business and is looking for someone to fulfil his role, Day to day you will be hands on within the team supporting in the assembly of electronic products shipped worldwide. You will distribute work, liaise directly with operations management, update on work order status, liaise with customers.
We are looking for a skilled leader who has a proven knowledge or background ideally within the electronics industry working with high end customers including the military. You will have the knowledge and ability to look at production processes, develop the team, implement process improvements and reading schematic drawings, following build sheets and supporting with the packaging and dispatch to customers.
Key skills:
- Supervising a team of 20+ operators
- Distribution of jobs to operators based on Production Plan
- Following up on timings of jobs
- Updating Production Plan and Capacity Planner
- Holding weekly team meetings
- Working closely with Production Manager on a day-to-day basis
- Attendance of Production meetings and providing updates to Production Manager
- Customer contact on queries
- Excellent Communications skills
- Good attention to details
- IPC-620 Standards preferable
Ideally A level qualification/HNC/equivalent or alternatively previous experience in this role.
