- Concept Generation – Develop innovative optical concepts for new product ideas.
- Optical Modelling & Tolerancing – Use industry-standard software to model and tolerance optical designs.
- Prototype Development – Collaborate with suppliers and in-house teams to create and test optical prototypes.
- Experimental Testing – Evaluate optical performance in lab and dark room environments.
- Collaboration – Provide optical expertise to assist the design team and support the NPI process.
- Research & Development – Stay up to date with the latest advancements in optical technology.
- Extensive experience in the research and design of optical, optomechanical, or video-based products.
- Strong background in optical engineering with relevant experience in industrial, consumer, or laboratory optical products.
- Proficiency in Optical Design Systems such as Zemax and/or 3D CAD software (ideally PTC Creo).
- Familiarity with scientific software like Matlab and Mathcad is a plus.
- Degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, or related discipline (higher degree preferred).
- Working knowledge of optical manufacturing processes.
- At least 8 years’ experience in a relevant field.
- Self-motivated, creative, and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
