Aspiring Youth Worker - Woking - Education and Training - SEMH

This is a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role working with vulnerable children and young people in Woking, Surrey. The school looks after 60 pupils aged 9-16 years and they provide a holistic and restorative approach to learning and behaviour management. The students at the school have varying degrees of social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH).

The students at the school have been through a range of traumas and will generally struggle to build long term relationships with their peers. They commonly have high levels of anxiety and can demonstrate challenging, and at times, volatile behaviour. This is where you empathy and understanding comes into play. If you're passionate about supporting vulnerable young people with their mental health to help them achieve their potential then this role is ideal for you.
