Business Development Manager
We're on the lookout for a passionate, results-driven, and inclusive-minded Business Development Manager to join our expanding sales team. If you thrive in a supportive team environment, are motivated by growth, and enjoy building meaningful client relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role:
As a key member of our sales team, you’ll be instrumental in driving our business forward. You’ll have the opportunity to shape our growth as we scale — with plenty of support and the chance to make a real impact.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Spending at least 2 days per week identifying and reaching out to new business prospects using research, tools, and your natural curiosity. You’ll need to be pro-active.
- Booking qualified appointments in targeted geographies, with target clients, as guided by our Head of Sales and Marketing.
- Engaging with inbound marketing leads — qualifying and converting them into appointments.
- Visiting prospective customer sites, surveying buildings, and preparing tailored quotes for our daily cleaning services.
- Managing objections and negotiating pricing with confidence and care.
- Building strong new business relationships and guiding the sales process from first contact to contract start.
- Contributing to broader sales success with tasks that support revenue growth.
Skills & Experience Required:
We’re looking for someone who’s excited to get out there, build connections, and close deals — all while representing our values of respect, inclusion, and integrity.
You’ll bring:
- A proven background in direct sales — ideally within the cleaning or related service industries.
- Experience handling and bidding for significant contracts and tenders.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.
- A proactive, "hunter" mentality and a genuine drive to succeed.
- A track record of identifying and converting new business leads.
- Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A valid UK driving licence and the willingness to travel as needed.
Experience in selling into the education and/or medical sectors is a bonus — but if you’re new to these sectors, don’t worry. We’ll provide full training and support to set you up for success.
