The Role

As a Highways Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance works across the network. You will ensure all activities are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily highways maintenance operations, including inspections, reactive repairs, and planned works.

• Monitor schedules and work programmes to ensure timely delivery.

• Maintain accurate daily records, including photos, labour, and equipment.

• Assist in resolving site issues and communicate updates to Engineers, Designers, and Quantity Surveyors.

• Carry out daily inspections of Traffic Management setups and address issues promptly.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Highways Maintenance Supervisor to ensure maintenance schemes are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will provide clear direction to teams and ensure all tasks, from planning to completion, run smoothly.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in highways maintenance or highways engineering.

• SSSTS or SMSTS and valid CSCS card.

• Highly organised, with the ability to coordinate multiple contractors.

• Strong, clear communicator able to engage confidently with the Maintenance Manager and stakeholders.

• Full UK Driving Licence.
