Home Insurance Adviser

Salary: £26,000 commission

Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week in our Wokingham office, remainder from home

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:30 (1-hour lunch) one late shift per week (10:30–19:00, day to be agreed)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Home Insurance Adviser to join the General Insurance Team. In this role, you’ll provide tailored advice and support to clients, ensuring their homes and belongings are protected with the most suitable insurance solutions. With a focus on delivering excellent client service, you’ll also play a key role in building long-term relationships and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with new and existing clients via outbound calls, follow-ups, and relationship building.
  • Provide clear, accurate advice on home insurance products tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Deliver accurate quotes and explain policy terms, coverage, and exclusions in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails, process applications, and complete suitability reports.
  • Generate leads and opportunities through proactive adviser and client relationship management.
  • Work closely with providers and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to ensure a smooth client journey.
  • Keep up to date with insurance products, regulatory changes, and market developments as part of ongoing CPD.
  • Ensure all advice and documentation is fully compliant with FCA regulations and company processes.

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organised and proactive with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable with CRM systems.
  • Positive attitude towards learning and development.
  • Previous sales experience desirable but not essential.
