Our client is data centre consultancy firm committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to their clients. They are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team on a remote basis for a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design mechanical systems for data centres, including HVAC, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with electrical and structural components.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and performance analyses to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of data centre projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong emphasis on data centre projects.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling technologies, and other mechanical infrastructure relevant to data centres.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
