The Role - Panel Wirer (Contract)
You will be supporting the assembly and testing of electrical and electronic systems, working on cabinet builds, wiring, soldering, and PCB assembly. This role would suit someone with a strong background in electrical assembly, ideally within maritime or offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Soldering and PCB assembly to a high standard.
- Building and wiring electrical cabinets and enclosures.
- Assembling and installing control systems and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Working from system diagrams, schematics, and wiring schedules.
- Conducting functional testing and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
- Experience in soldering, PCB assembly, cabinet/enclosure builds, and wiring/control systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Electrical certification (minimum City & Guilds 2365, BS7671, or 18th Edition).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Experience in maritime/offshore electrical systems.
- Familiarity with DNV and Lloyd's Register standards.
- Background in regulated or quality-focused environments.
