Location: Wokingham, Berkshire

Salary: £35,000 - £36,000

Shift: Monday to Friday 

A leading global manufacturer and supplier of medical devices is expanding its UK operations and seeking a proactive and organised Engineering Stores Person to join the team in Wokingham. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of multiple local sites and ensuring that engineering stock, materials and spare parts are managed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and control the engineering stores to support site operations
• Set up and manage satellite stores and stock control processes
• Carry out regular stock checks and cycle counts
• Manage stock through the Maintenance Management System
• Purchase goods, introducing cost savings and negotiating with suppliers
• Ensure OEM recommended spares are available and minimum stock levels are maintained
• Liaise with engineering and other departments to coordinate deliveries
• Negotiate consignment stock agreements with suppliers
• Manage COSHH items with relevant safety data sheets

Skills Required for the Engineering Stores Person 

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Good computer literacy and familiarity with stock systems
• Knowledge of engineering components and spare parts
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Health & safety awareness and a commitment to best practice
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
