Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring English lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Foster a love for literature and language while enhancing students' reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback to foster their academic growth.
- Collaborate with other English department staff to plan and coordinate lessons effectively.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school training events.
- Encourage students to participate in related extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or writing workshops.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an English Teacher.
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and current teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
