GSL Education is currently seeking a number of passionate and creative SEN Art Teachers to join our dedicated schools in Wokingham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on students with special educational needs through the power of art.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Art lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, TAs, and therapists to develop personalised learning plans
  • Assess students' progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Encourage self-expression and confidence through various artistic mediums

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant Art teaching experience within an SEN setting
  • Strong understanding of a range of SEN needs and effective strategies to support them
  • A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
  • GSL Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
