Inspire Creativity as an SEN Art Teacher – Wokingham
GSL Education is currently seeking a number of passionate and creative SEN Art Teachers to join our dedicated schools in Wokingham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on students with special educational needs through the power of art.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Art lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
- Collaborate with SENCOs, TAs, and therapists to develop personalised learning plans
- Assess students' progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Encourage self-expression and confidence through various artistic mediums
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant Art teaching experience within an SEN setting
- Strong understanding of a range of SEN needs and effective strategies to support them
- A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
