This school in Wokingham, Berkshire is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant who can support the class teacher in providing an alternative education to support the individual needs of children with SEMH and more complex needs including: behaviour difficulties, learning and development challenges and students mental health and well - being needs. Recent or upcoming Psychology graduates are encouraged to apply with opportunities to shadow and work with Educational psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate and should share the progressive and strong ethos and morals of the school. Your role as the Mental Health support worker will allow you to be responsible for managing behavior as well as creating differentiated resources to support the learning needs of each pupil.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will ideally have a degree in a related field or have experience working with young people. Some of these children will have faced trauma and anxiety so someone dedicated, patient and resilient to take up the post. This post starts asap
