Job Title: React JS Developer

Duration: 11 month contract

Location: Wokingham Hybrid (2-3 days per week on site)

Rate: £550 inside umbrella

Role Overview:Are you a React.js Developer passionate about building data-driven front-end applications? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can tackle demanding initiatives and solve complex problems? If so, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will work closely with UX designers to transform user journeys into high-quality UI components. You will leverage your expertise in React.js, GraphQL, and Apollo Client to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality front-end applications using React.js.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes and user journeys into functional UI components.
  • Implement efficient data handling using GraphQL and Apollo Client.
  • optimise front-end performance and ensure a scalable codebase.
  • Participate in Agile methodologies and DevOps practises to deliver solutions rapidly.
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure application reliability and performance.

Key Skills & Experience:

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong programming skills with extensive experience in React.js and modern front-end development practises.
  • Proficient in GraphQL and Apollo Client for effective data management.
  • Understanding of Design Thinking methodology for user-centric development.
  • Passionate about user experience (UX) and usability; capable of translating designs into functional interfaces.
  • Solid grasp of state management and component-based architecture.
  • Experience in building reusable UI components and optimising front-end performance.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and DevOps practises.
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with data visualisation libraries.
  • Understanding of real-time data handling in front-end applications.
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design best practises.
  • Exposure to testing tools like Cypress or Playwright for end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with Azure is a plus but not mandatory.
