Insolvency Administrator - Firm of Accountants - Wolverhampton

We are currently recruiting for a firm of accountants in Wolverhampton who are looking for an Insolvency Administrator to join the team.

The Role: As an Insolvency Administrator, you will assist partners, directors, and managers with formal insolvency appointments.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing documents for insolvency appointments.
  • Assisting with financial reports, including declarations of solvency, statements of affairs, estimated outcome statements, and receipts and payment accounts.
  • Preparing documents for Companies House, creditors, and members.
  • Conducting relevant internet searches.
  • Managing ongoing trading in administration assignments, including negotiating with suppliers, handling customer queries, and addressing staff matters, which may involve site attendance.
  • Collecting and logging company records.
  • Preparing progress and final reports.
  • Investigating the conduct of directors.
  • Assisting employees with claims for arrears of wages, redundancy pay, etc.
  • Facilitating the sale of assets.
  • Analysing and collecting book debts.
  • Handling creditor queries, agreeing, and paying claims.
  • Completing insurance questionnaires.
  • Preparing tax returns, including VAT, Corporation Tax, RTI, and liaising with councils over council tax/business rates.
  • Preparing receipts and payments vouchers for estate accounts.
  • Ensuring key targets are met as per case diaries.

The Person:

  • 2+ years industry experience
  • Certificate of proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) / Certificate in Insolvency (CII - ICAEW) qualification highly advantageous
  • Exposure to CVL’s and MVL’s from commencement to end highly desirable
  • Accounting knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Confident but polite telephone manner
  • Attention to detail with good organisation
  • Working knowledge of IPS , Word and Excel
  • A driving licence and use of own transport desirable though not essential
