A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Project Quality Engineer to join the team with our prestigious client at their site in Wolverhamptom

Role summary:

The individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of the Operational performance on the business Value Stream. The role will have the accountability of Managing, Co-ordinating and reporting on key operational inputs. The individual will be required to liaise with other functions; Programmes, Quality, Engineering & SIOP to expedite deliveries that align with the sales or production plans.

Principle Accountabilities:

Working directly for the Operations Lead the Operations Project Co-ordinator will provide the primary interface across the IPT to provide clear direction and drive across three primary areas: Concessions, FAI's and OER's. Key Activities would include;

  • Managing and co-ordinating the full lifecycle of the internal LRU concession process ensuring that the Value stream remains fully compliant to both internal and customer process
  • Managing and co-ordinating the FAI process within the Nacelles value stream, partnering closely with the third-party support company to ensure minimal turnback's and timely resolution.
  • Providing planning and prioritisation of the OERs (Original Equipment Returns): Manage OERs trackers and expedite the repair, tests, and delivery to the customers.
  • Capture, report, and act on associated metrics, such as qualitative and quantitative quality metrics.
  • To host internal reviews (IPT, suppliers, etc) and present to the Value Stream members the status of OERs' deliveries.
  • Create reports for SLT on KPI's associated with critical metrics in line with OER, FAI and concession closure.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified with experience in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Programmatic discipline.
  • Demonstratable experience in following prescribed procedures and process
  • Competency in reporting complex metrics to multiple levels of seniority within an organisation
  • Demonstratable experience in in cross-team collaboration, strong communication skills with multi-disciplinary and diverse groups internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven competence working effectively within Quality Management best practices
  • Proven competence with statistical and analytical problem solving
  • Knowledge of configuration management in an aerospace industry desirable.
  • Demonstratable experience in steering prioritisation outside of a solid line reporting structure
