Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer on long term contract to join the NPI team at a leading engineering facility in Wolverhampton. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project focused on precision measurement, data analysis, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and measure components using CMM machines with Calypso Zeiss software.
- Interpret measurement data to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform bottleneck reviews to optimise production flow.
- Lead PPAP analysis.
- Support root cause analysis and implement robust solutions.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans and control procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Participate in internal audits and support external audit readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the NPI process.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in CMM operation and Calypso software.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Experience with data analysis, problem-solving tools, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with NPI processes and cross-functional project teams.
