This is a permanent, full-time role with excellent earning potential and full training provided by a dedicated Driver Trainer. All driving routes are local, within a 30-mile radius of the depot – making this a great opportunity for drivers seeking consistent hours and work-life balance.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver and collect skips across the local area
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained to high safety standards
  • Load, transport, and tip waste materials in accordance with site and road safety regulations
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, including collection/delivery notes
  • Maintain good communication with the transport team to ensure timely job completion
  • Provide excellent customer service on-site with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Comply with all driving and waste regulations (including Health & Safety and DVSA standards)
  • Report any defects, delays, or incidents promptly to the operations team

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous skip experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
  • Strong awareness of road safety and legal compliance
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and manage your route efficiently
  • Physically fit and able to handle skip-related equipment
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a focus on reliability and punctuality
