Role Overview – CNC Machinist
Join our leading aerospace client’s team in Wolverhampton and contribute to cutting-edge NPI projects. As a CNC Machinist, you’ll play a key role in machining complex components for advanced aircraft systems, working in a collaborative and innovative environment. This is a dayshift role with the possibility of moving to double days.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist
- Set up, operate, and manage a variety of CNC machines including mill/turn or multi-axis to produce high-precision components.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support NPI programs, refining and developing new components.
- Conduct first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Complete and maintain detailed quality documentation, including inspection reports and production records.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to machine components to extremely tight tolerances.
- Select and optimize tooling and machining parameters to enhance efficiency and precision.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, adjusting programs or setups to maintain production quality and flow.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Experience & Qualifications – CNC Machinist
- Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- CNC machining experience on various machines including Okuma, Mazak, DMG, Matsura or Puma.
- Strong background in engineering or manufacturing, with aerospace experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and inspection methods
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to precision, quality, and continuous improvement.
