The Role - Manual Grinder

My client, a leading manufacture specialising in the aerospace and defence industry, is currently seeking a talented Manual Grinder to join their team.

As a Manual Grinder you’ll be responsible for operating and setting manual Studer machines to produce parts to extremely tight tolerances. 

You’ll be joining a great team within a vibrant employment sector.

Duties - Manual Grinder

• Operate and set Manual Studer machines and CNC machines
• Grind and machine exotic and hardened materials with precision.
• Perform first-off inspections and complete relevant quality documentation.
• Carry out manual land grinding to tight tolerances.
• Set up and run multiple machines and processes.
• If trained, occasionally support CNC grinding machines.

Background – Manual Grinder

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Manual grinding experience required.
• Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
• Attention to detail and accuracy and process improvement.
