With a longstanding commitment to excellence and a proven track record of successful project delivery, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Groundworks Contracts Manager to join their team and contribute to the continued success of our operations. Role Overview:

As Groundworks Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, management, and execution of groundworks projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are consistently met. This role requires a strategic, hands-on approach to managing all aspects of contracts, from initial tender stages through to project completion. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial tender through to successful completion, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage site-based teams, including subcontractors, ensuring optimal resource allocation and performance across all projects.

Financial Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters. Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.

Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote stringent health, safety, and environmental practices across all projects, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations.

Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring a high standard of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold strict quality control measures, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, specifications, and best practices.

Problem Resolution: Proactively identify potential project risks and issues, formulating effective solutions to mitigate any disruptions or delays.

Reporting: Regularly report on project status, providing clear, concise updates to senior management and clients.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in groundworks or civil engineering project management, with a proven track record in a Contracts Manager role or similar senior position.
  • In-depth knowledge of groundworks processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing diverse teams and subcontractors.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation and its application on construction sites.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
