A well-resourced and inclusive SEND school in Wolverhampton is seeking a confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a long-term basis. The Role:

As a HLTA, you'll be actively involved in both leading and supporting learning across the school. This varied and rewarding role will see you:

  • Support students with a range of complex needs, such as Autism, SEMH, and PMLD
  • Deliver engaging, targeted sessions to individuals and small groups
  • Lead classroom-based learning during teacher absences, following set plans
  • Assist in the planning, delivery, and assessment of differentiated lessons
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere through behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies

What We're Looking For:

  • A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent (e.g., Level 4 TA qualification or above)
  • Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or specialist setting
  • Confidence to lead learning independently when required
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting varied learning and emotional needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through us)
