Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs in their early development?We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive special school in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young children aged 3-5 with a range of SEN needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays.?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with special educational needs.
  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in a nurturing classroom environment.
  • Assist with personal care and promote independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews.

�? Candidate Requirements:Essential:

  • Experience working with children in an Early Years or SEN setting.
  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools.
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and SEN Code of Practice.
