Ceto Talent are working with an infrastructure engineering business to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This is a permanent role offering a salary between £45,000 and £52,000 depending on experience.
The position will see you working closely with the Chief Engineer, taking ownership of specialist projects, supporting technical development, and providing engineering authority on a range of infrastructure schemes.
The role will involve:
- Leading R&D and technical projects, from design through to delivery.
- Producing and reviewing fabrication drawings, installation manuals, and technical documentation.
- Carrying out engineering calculations and providing guidance on technical developments.
- Managing costs, timescales, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Collaborating with subcontractors and internal teams on installation and reinstatement.
- Supporting the commercial team by providing technical insight and identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to maintain best practice in fabrication and engineering delivery.
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety procedures and statutory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong experience in Hostile Vehicle Mitigation / structural engineering and project leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to deliver technical projects on time and within budget.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
