Job Title: Welder Fabricator (MIG) – Potential Shopfloor Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder (MIG) to join our client’s established team in Wolverhampton. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with strong expertise in structural steel fabrication and welding, with the potential for progression into a Shopfloor Manager role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out MIG welding and fabrication of structural steel components
- Reading and interpreting detailed fabrication drawings
- Supporting and coordinating workflow on the shopfloor
- Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safe working practices
- Assisting with UKCA paperwork (experience advantageous)
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven background in fabrication and MIG welding (structural steel essential)
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings with accuracy
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and punctuality
- Previous shopfloor management experience desirable but not essential
- A valid driving licence and UKCA paperwork experience would be beneficial
Position Details:
- Hourly Rate: Up to £17.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 40 hours per week, with overtime available as required
- Contract: Temporary to permanent position, offering long-term stability and further development opportunities
