A large, popular employer located in Wolverhampton is seeking a talented Stock and Income Analyst to join on a permanent basis in a brand newly created role which will offer huge scope to add value and make a difference.Your responsibilities as the Stock and Income Analyst will include, but will not be limited to
  • Collaborate with divisions, depots and stores to oversee stock activities, including movements, wastage, and balances, ensuring accurate reporting and proactive management through investigation and action planning.
  • Assist with stock initiatives such as "clear through" projects and assess their impact on future stock holdings.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and periodic reconciliations of stock movements and transactions within Business Central (Finance System)
  • Understand and support the indirect (supplier) income processes across all Trading Categories, including weekly and periodic forecasting.
  • Analyse supplier data to identify trends and provide insightful reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage supplier income data by streamlining data sources and delivering regular and ad-hoc financial performance reports by supplier, trading controller, and income type.
  • Play an integral role in the end-to-end Finance process, with a clear understanding of the key drivers behind stock and supplier income performance.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and tasks related to stock and supplier income, supporting the broader performance objectives of divisions.
To be considered for the role of Stock Income Analyst:
  • Experience in stock and supplier income accounting (likely from manufacturing, distribution or retail sectors)
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve system-related issues.
  • Confident in presenting findings and analysis clearly to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to take the lead when needed.
