Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Brickwork Lecturer to join our Construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to students on a range of Brickwork and Construction courses, from Level 1 to Level 3.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of tradespeople in a supportive and well-resourced college environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in brickwork and trowel trades

  • Plan, prepare and assess course materials to meet curriculum standards

  • Support learners in achieving their qualifications and developing employability skills

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and motivating workshop environment

  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement processes

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Brickwork or related construction trade

  • Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one, e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training)

  • Industry experience in bricklaying or construction

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
