Sonic Summary

People Solutions is seeking a Class 1 Driver (HGV) for their client in Wolverhampton, WEST MIDLANDS, with shifts available from Monday to Sunday, starting at 08:00 for days and 19:00 for nights.
The position offers competitive pay rates of £17.00 per hour on weekdays and £19.00 per hour on weekends, along with additional benefits such as weekly pay and an onsite canteen.
Candidates must hold a valid UK Category CE Licence and have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles, with no more than six penalty points on their license.
Essential skills include effective communication, punctuality, and a good understanding of traffic laws, while experience with commercial vehicles and multi-drop deliveries is desirable.

CLASS 1 DRIVER (HGV)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Wolverhampton, WEST MIDLANDS.

Rates of Pay:

Monday to Friday £17.00 per hour
Saturday £19.00 per hour
Sunday £19.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side)
Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Being able to drive a LST trailer

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
be able to drive a LST trailer

Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial
