What’s On Offer:

We’re looking for a proactive HR Advisor to join our dynamic team. You’ll be the go-to person for HR queries, supporting managers and employees across the business. From handling employee relations cases to driving engagement and wellbeing initiatives, you’ll play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment law
  • Lead and manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance issues, and absence management
  • Coach and support line managers to build confidence in handling sensitive HR matters
  • Contribute to people-focused projects such as employee engagement, wellbeing, change management, and learning & development
  • Analyse HR data and trends to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of HR systems and employee records in line with GDPR
  • Support the employee lifecycle including onboarding, induction, probation reviews, and offboarding
  • Assist with payroll preparation by providing timely and accurate data
  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and recommend updates to policies and practices
  • Prepare HR reports and insights to support business planning
  • Travel to our Carlisle site once a month to provide on-site HR support

What you’ll need:

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience managing ER cases independently
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems
