Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with knowledge of cranes, heavy machinery, and PLC-controlled equipment? If so, this could be the role for you.

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical qualification (ideally Level 3) to join our team. This is a 100% hands-on role, where you will play a key part in maintaining site machinery, ensuring safety standards, and driving improvements in reliability and efficiency.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30

  • 39 paid hours per week (½ hour break deducted)

  • Overtime required on Saturdays during plant outages (typically alternate weekends, 5–6 hours)

  • Overtime rates: 1.2x Mon–Fri / 1.5x Sat / 2x Sun

  • Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned preventative maintenance across all plant and equipment (mechanical & electrical).

  • Rapid response to breakdowns and effective troubleshooting.

  • Driving improvements to processes and equipment efficiency.

  • Daily use of CMMS (maintenance management systems).

  • Equipment inspection and testing for safe operation.

  • Supervising contractors/visitors as required.

  • Supporting production and other site functions.

  • Participation in an out-of-hours rota (evenings and weekends).

Skills & Experience Required

  • Multi-skilled background with a recognised electrical qualification (Level 3 ideal).

  • Strong experience in electrical and mechanical engineering.

  • Skilled in electrical installations, motors, drives, inverter systems, and electrical schematics.

  • Knowledge of PLC systems (basic).

  • Comfortable working at heights and using MEWPs.

  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems and complex fault-finding.
