The Role - Heavy Vehicle Technical Trainer

As a key member of the training team, you will deliver engaging, practical training in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Diagnostics to apprentices and commercial learners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering hands-on technical sessions and classroom-based teaching

  • Preparing training materials and maintaining a safe learning environment

  • Supporting and assessing apprentices' progress

  • Keeping accurate learner records and documentation

  • Staying current with the latest vehicle technologies and industry standards

  • Collaborating with employers and providing pastoral support to learners

The Ideal Candidate

You’re a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician who’s ready to share your expertise. You’ll bring:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)

  • Strong technical knowledge, especially in electrical diagnostics

  • Clear communication skills and a learner-focused approach

  • A full UK driving licence

  • Basic IT literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
