I am currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly & Test Technician on behalf of my client, a leading organisation in the aerospace sector based in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled team, supporting either the Global Sustainment (GS) repair station or the Original Equipment (OE) team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a keen eye for precision, working on flight-critical aerospace components in a high-quality, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
For the OE Team:
*Precision assembly and testing of actuators and subcomponents
*Use of inspection tools including micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges
For the GS Team:
*Diagnostic testing and fault finding on aerospace actuators
*Compiling detailed survey reports and inspecting component parts
General Duties:
*Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and maintenance manuals
*Completing quality audits and supporting the release to service of repaired units
Candidate Profile
*Apprenticeship trained or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
*Proven hands-on experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, preferably within aerospace or a similar sector
*Strong understanding of assembly and test processes
*Confident in following strict procedures and working within regulated quality systems
*Proactive and quality-focused approach
