Job Title: Senior Finance Assistant

Location: Wolverhampton (Hybrid)

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Top of the salary range will be offered to a candidate with proven experience making high value payments from different platforms in a fast-paced environment.

We are currently recruiting for a nationally recognised business based in Wolverhampton. The business is hugely successful and ever-growing! We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to take on this challenging role. This is a fast-paced position where you will be tasked to manage all the outgoing payments within the business. The Senior Finance Assistant will work across multiple systems and payment platforms, they will be trusted to improve processes as they see fit and will be liaising with internal stakeholders on a daily basis! This is an exciting role with lots of opportunity to make improvements and progress within the business, should you want to! Previous experience with high value payment processing is a must.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Set up and validate all manual payment requests on our banking platforms, ensuring all payments are released in line with SLA and escalated appropriately.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all BACS payments via the ERP systems whilst adhering to stringent governance and controls.
  • Develop and maintain effective reporting to drive improvements in payment processes, including monthly Manual Payments reports.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and the wider finance function, translating finance information to non-finance users.

Ideally, You Will:

  • Have previous experience in payments and banking processes as you will be dealing with high volume and values into the £10s of millions!
  • Be an organised individual with excellent time management skills as this is a fast-paced environment!
  • Possess a keen eye for detail, in this role precision is key!
  • Be tech savvy! In this role you will work across multiple systems and banking platforms, you will also use Microsoft Excel on a daily basis.
