Job Description:

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Supervising Social Worker on behalf of its client's Fostering Team, based in Wolverhampton.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality fostering service that promotes the best outcomes for children. You'll support foster carers, manage your own caseload, and ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Support & Supervision: Recruit, assess, and supervise foster carers, providing regular guidance, training, and development support.
  • Child-Centred Practice: Attend placement planning meetings, contribute to care plans, and ensure children's voices are heard.
  • Quality & Compliance: Complete assessments, reviews, and statutory checks, and present reports to the Fostering Panel.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with local authorities, schools, and health professionals to ensure joined-up support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in fostering or children's services.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development.
