Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aspire. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping our students with diverse learning needs thrive in an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support for students with SEN
Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Help students access the curriculum, ensuring they achieve their full potential
Support the classroom teacher in managing the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment
Encourage students' social and emotional development, helping them build self-confidence and independence
Work collaboratively with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN in a school or educational setting
A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
An understanding of various SEN conditions, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and physical disabilities
A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Desirable Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
