This is an ideal opportunity for a mainstream-trained teacher who is looking to transition into special educational needs (SEN) and make a lasting impact in a more personalised, child-centred environment.The school is looking for someone to start as soon as possible, with a view to offering a permanent contract following a successful initial period.About the Role:You'll be teaching a small class of children aged 3-5 with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays. With the support of experienced teaching assistants and therapists, you'll plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning that meets each child's individual needs.This is a rewarding role where you'll have the time and space to build strong relationships and celebrate every small step of progress.What We're Looking For:Essential:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Experience teaching in Early Years or Key Stage 1 (mainstream or SEN).A nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.Desirable:Experience or interest in SEN teaching.Familiarity with EYFS framework and SEN strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton, sensory play).Willingness to undertake CPD in special education.What the School Offers:A supportive and inclusive school community.Smaller class sizes and a high adult-to-child ratio.Ongoing CPD and mentoring in SEN practice.A clear path to a permanent teaching contract.A chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.How to Apply:If you're a qualified teacher ready to explore a new and meaningful direction in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
