Are you a passionate and experienced SEN professional with a talent for supporting children with severe learning difficulties and managing challenging behaviour?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Specialist to support a child with complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life within a supportive and well-resourced school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with severe learning difficulties, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.

  • Manage and respond to challenging behaviour in a calm, patient, and effective manner.

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions.

  • Support the child's social and emotional development as well as academic progress.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular reviews of the child's progress and support plan.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience supporting children with severe learning difficulties and managing challenging behaviour.

  • A nurturing, resilient, and adaptable approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
