ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To run the kitchen efficiently, cleanly and to the required standards
- Adhere to all food safety procedures and standards at all times
- Prepare all food on time ready for service
- Ensure good stock and waste control at all times
- Quality check stock and prepared food, report anything that is deficient to management
- Produce food that is consistently of a high standard and well presented
- Produce each dish to specification that is supplied by Punch Taverns Ltd
- Work with the whole team to ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
- Keep accurate records at all times e.g. dates/cleaning/temperature charts/food labelling
- Work 5 days out of 7 alternate weekends

CRITERIA
Experience
- Experience of working in a busy kitchen
- Working in food preparation and delivering food to a high standard
- Working to a specification of supplied menu items
Desirable
- Experience of running all areas of within a busy pub restaurant kitchen
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential
- Solid understanding of food hygiene and health and safety standards including allergen control
- Ability to rota staff as needed within budget
Desirable
- Level 2 or above food safety and hygiene qualification or willing to work towards
- Knowledge of stock control, portioning and reduction of food wastage
ABILITY/APTITUDE

- Be able to adapt to busy and different situations
- Able to manage own time effectively
