Corporate Tax Manager / Business Tax Manager - SUPERB ROLE

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top20 UK Accountancy Practice who are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their growing team in East London. Reporting to the Tax Partner, the role would ideally suit a CTA or ACA qualified Corporate Tax Specialist from a Top100 or Regional Accountancy practice, with strong technical skills. You should have deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills and a passion for UK and International tax legislation. Providing expert guidance on complex tax matters, supporting advisory projects and developing internal tax policies and training materials other key duties include:

  • Providing technical tax expertise across corporate tax
  • Researching and interpreting tax legislation, case law and HMRC guidance to advise on compliance and strategic tax planning
  • Drafting technical tax reports, policy documents and client communication
  • Managing a team of corporate tax professionals, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Supporting other internal service lines and clients with tax risk management and mitigation strategies
  • Engaging with external tax bodies, industry forums and HMRC on technical tax issues
  • Providing support on corporate tax disputes, compliance reviews and advisory projects
  • Completing your own portfolio of client work to provide industry leading insights and advice.
  • Reviewing complex corporate tax returns within agreed service levels and quality standards, identifying additional tax planning opportunities
  • Alongside the Partners, working on UK and cross-border tax advisory projects and dealing directly with clients
  • Planning and reviewing corporate tax work carried out by team members to ensure it is completed within timeframes and budget

To be considered for the corporate tax manager role, you should ideally be seeking a move to an accounting practice/firm where wider responsibilities and a broader client base will be made available to you. Strong technical knowledge around corporate restructuring & clearance, corporate interest restrictions, corporate tax reviewing and share schemes is required, along with staff management, internal coaching & training skills. With excellent team working skills and relationship building skills, you should be able to help develop new and existing business, work well under pressure yet still deliver on time and budget.
