Senior Housing Officer - Woodford Green(Temporary, 36 hours per week)Umbrella rate of pay: £20.58 per hour

Job Summary:We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Housing Officer to support the Housing service based in Woodford Green.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage activities, resources, people, and information to exceed performance targets and meet strategic objectives.
  • Motivate, develop, and support teams of Housing Officers as neighbourhood champions.
  • Monitor and control team budgets in accordance with policy and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support neighbourhood plans and ensure their importance is recognized across the council.
  • Oversee case management in areas of nuisance and Anti-Social Behaviour, developing strategic links with relevant agencies.
  • Ensure a culture of customer focus is embedded in the work of all officers.
  • Provide effective responses to residents’ and members’ complaints and queries.
  • Ensure compliance with the Council’s tenancy agreement and leasehold clauses.
  • Work with partners to address vulnerability issues and provide support for residents with additional needs.
  • Implement and monitor the Council’s strategies and policies relating to equality and diversity.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and relevant policies.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Criminal Convictions Declaration.
  • 3 years of references/work history.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in housing management and customer service.
