Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing Court of Protection and Appointee cases.

  • Handle assigned cases from start to finish, consulting with the Deputy or Adult Care workers when needed.

  • Manage deceased cases promptly.

  • Ensure correct management and claiming of benefits and income for service users.

  • Reconcile and update client bank accounts in the system.

  • Claim monies and pay liabilities promptly.

  • Manage weekly tasks like diary activities, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and cash provisions.

  • Handle incoming correspondence and emails daily, and maintain files.

  • Answer phone inquiries, offering advice or directing to team members.

  • Help maintain and update the case management system.

  • Contribute to reviewing procedures and sharing insights with colleagues.

  • Assist with record-keeping for client possessions.

  • Maintain good communication with stakeholders involved in Deputyship and Appointeeship roles.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Must Have

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Basic understanding of financial procedures.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a similar role.

  • Knowledge of Court of Protection and Appointee processes.

  • Experience with case management systems.
