Glasshouse Supervisor

A progressive and profitable horticultural business is looking to appoint a Glasshouse Supervisor to support the next phase of expansion. With 10 hectares of cutting-edge glasshouse production already in place and further growth underway, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that invests heavily in both technology and people.
This is a hands-on role supporting all aspects of crop production, from climate control and team management to harvest readiness. You'll work closely with the wider operations team, including a dedicated Growing Manager and Assistant Grower, to ensure consistently high-quality outputs are achieved throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities:
Crop & Site Operations
- Oversee daily production tasks across soft fruit crops
- Monitor and adjust crop environment using PRIVA climate control systems
- Work collaboratively with the Assistant Grower and technical partners
Team Supervision
- Manage and motivate seasonal teams of up to 50 staff during peak season
- Ensure efficient task allocation, performance monitoring, and quality control
- Maintain strong communication across teams, including packhouse and spraying units
- Flexibility to support across departments as required
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in soft fruit growing, ideally in glasshouse or protected cropping systems
- Confident using tech-based systems like PRIVA
- Excellent leadership and communication skills - able to manage diverse teams
- Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
