Machine Operator - 2-2-3 Rota
Location: Spalding
Pay: 12.21 - 12.94 per hour
Shift Pattern: 6:00am - 6:00pm, 2-2-3 rota
Hours: 40.25 per week

We are recruiting on behalf of our client in Spalding for Machine Operators to join their production team. This role offers long-term prospects, excellent facilities, and a pathway to permanent employment following successful training.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Completing pre-start safety and hygiene checks on machinery.
* Setting machines to run according to technical specifications and ensuring correct packaging and labelling are used.
* Keeping packaging materials stocked to avoid downtime.
* Diagnosing minor machine faults and escalating larger issues to the engineering team.
* Following all site procedures including organic product handling and hygiene standards.
* Supporting line operations with packing, stacking, or loading as required.
* Working alongside Line Leaders to resolve issues related to staffing, stock, and documentation.
* Promoting health & safety, hygiene, and environmental good practices.
* Participating in continuous improvement using 5S and root cause analysis tools.

* Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
* Attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork.
* Respectful and inclusive approach to teamwork.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* A responsible attitude to food hygiene and safety, including reporting near misses.
