Simply Education is working with a friendly and supportive village primary school on the outskirts of Lincoln (LN5 area) to recruit a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This part-time role is set to begin in September 2025 and is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to a child within a mainstream classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning and daily routines.

  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored strategies and interventions.

  • Monitor and record the child's progress, offering feedback and suggestions to the wider team.

  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that helps the child feel safe, engaged, and confident.

  • Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual needs.

  • Build a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil to support their academic and emotional development.

  • Liaise with parents and staff to ensure consistency and progress.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, ideally within a school setting.

  • A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach.

  • A strong understanding of SEN support within mainstream education.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently when needed.

  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
