Graduate Town Planner - Lincoln
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Salary: 24,000 - 28,000 (DOE) + benefits

Are you a recent RTPI-accredited graduate looking to take your first step into the world of planning? Or perhaps you've already gained some experience and are ready for a new challenge with a dynamic and supportive team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Town Planner to join a highly regarded planning consultancy based in Lincoln.



The Opportunity:

This is an excellent role for an ambitious Graduate Planner to join a forward-thinking firm that works across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, agricultural and rural development. You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team where you'll be supported by experienced professionals, benefit from tailored mentoring, and be actively encouraged towards full RTPI chartership.

You'll gain hands-on experience from day one, working on a broad mix of planning applications, appraisals, appeals, site assessments and development strategies across urban and rural environments.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals

  • Undertaking site visits and contributing to development feasibility studies

  • Supporting senior planners with planning appraisals and client advice

  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and external consultants

  • Keeping up-to-date with planning legislation and policy changes



What We're Looking For:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related RTPI-accredited subject

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A keen interest in both urban and rural planning

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work

  • A full UK driving licence is essential due to site visit requirements
