About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager in Lincolnshire to take responsibility for the smooth running of a busy food manufacturing site. This role covers the full scope of operations, including production, health & safety, engineering, supply chain, logistics, and quality. You will play a key part in ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, to specification, and in the most efficient and cost-effective way.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations across production, despatch, workshops, and logistics.

  • Ensure high standards of health & safety across all site activities.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement to increase efficiency and profitability.

  • Lead production planning in line with commercial forecasts, balancing resources, people, and materials.

  • Manage site engineering and preventative maintenance programmes.

  • Deliver capital projects safely, within budget, and to agreed standards.

  • Maintain quality systems, audits, and promote a strong quality-first culture.

  • Oversee supply chain and logistics, including stock control, packaging, transport, and despatch.

  • Manage operational budgets, labour costs, and contribute to long-term investment planning.

  • Lead and develop operational teams, ensuring training and progression opportunities are in place.



About You

  • Proven experience in an operations management role, ideally in food manufacturing, fresh produce, or FMCG.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and multiple functions.

  • Experience in health & safety, production planning, engineering, and supply chain.

  • Commercially aware with strong budget and cost management skills.

  • Hands-on, solutions-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
